UK punk bands The Sex Pistols and Clash may have received most of the media attention, but The Ramones were the daddy punk group of all time.

The Ramones started the punk phenomena. Their combination of loud and fast music and denim & leather jacket outfits put on the image of the typical punk band. Their songs are powerful 2-minute cartoon tunes with three chords. The Ramones' best-known songs all deal with teen angst: "Blitzkrieg Bop”, "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue", "I Wanna Be Sedated”, "Beat on the Brat", "Teenage Lobotomy” or "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker." In 2002, The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Joey, Dee Dee and Johnny are in punk heaven ever since, but one thing is for sure: the aura of The Ramones will never die!
