Vector Art

For Bruce Cowie, music is the perfect excuse to design. Suffices to say that this South African artist and musician has a very strong passion for both. He does not consider himself to be an illustrator per se, but we truly think he should consider exploring the vector art domain further because he’s clearly got a knack for it.

Azbeen is the artist name of Aristotelis Falegos, an illustrator and web designer living and working in Greece. Azbeen creates images almost exclusively through digital media, and most of his artworks are vector driven. Cartoons heavily influence his vector artworks, and if you look well you can always discover a “twist”.

Rubens Cantuni aka Tokyo Candies, a 27-year-old art director born in Genoa, Italy, found his passion already in his early days. Instead of roughing it up with the boys or kicking a football around in the fields, you would most probably find Rubens huddled up at home drawing, reading books and comics or listening to music while concocting his next masterpieces.

A little story… Once upon a time in a country far, far away lived an American cartoonist Axtor Disney. Axtor was an amazing magician, illustrator and musician, all in one. Together with his younger brothers Walter E. and Roy O. Disney, he founded The Walt Disney Company in 1923. So far so good...

What do we know about Axtor Espeluzland? That he was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That he is rather self-taught than a model student. That he always loved to draw and made a career out of his passion in his twenties. As a graphic artist and illustrator, Axtor touches many different disciplines: drawing, graphical design, painting, vector art and installation art. Throughout the years he has worked with all kind of forms, formats, materials and supports in order to create surprising parallel universes. An interview with the grand master of surprise.

TADO is Katie & Mike, a hard working couple with extraordinary vector art skills. Mike and Katie founded TADO back in 2001 whilst they were still at university. Housed up in their ‘little agency’ in Sheffield, UK, TADO’s fire of inspiration will be felt for a long time to come.
